Folsom Tech Week, in collaboration with Sacramento Venture Philanthropy, invites you to join us for a 48-hour nonprofit app hackathon taking place during the event in March. This immersive experience brings together some of the brightest minds in technology with the most impactful nonprofits across the Sacramento region to build solutions that matter.
Five hand-selected local nonprofits will share their most pressing operational and service challenges. Tech volunteers, designers, and innovators will collaborate in focused teams to build AI-driven solutions designed for immediate, real-world use. This isn’t about pitching ideas or prototypes – it’s about delivering practical tools nonprofits can start using the very next day.
Five impactful nonprofits from across the Sacramento region are selected to participate, each bringing a real-world challenge where technology can make a meaningful difference.
Participants come together in four cross-functional teams – each made up of four people – blending developers, designers, strategists, and subject-matter experts to align skills with each nonprofit’s challenge.
Teams dive into an intensive two-day build, creating AI-powered solutions with a strong emphasis on usability, scalability, and immediate deployment.
The sprint concludes with a live showcase where teams present their solutions, demonstrating working tools designed to support nonprofits beyond the event.
Unlike typical hackathons that often end with concepts or ideas, our Innovation Sprint delivers solutions ready for real-world use. We prioritize immediate impact, ensuring nonprofits walk away with tools they can start using right away.
